Mimi's Suitcase Solo Show: From NYC to Heidelberg

In 2007, I took Kamau Bell's solo performance workshop in San Francisco. This prompted me to start writing a couple of scenes that were performed as part of the course's showcase.

Last summer, I started developing the play which then became an official selection at United Solo International festival in the heart in NYC. Mimi's Suitcase premiered there on November 15, 2015 to a sold-out house of enthusiastic audience members who related to the story and wanted "more".

Mimi's Suitcase will next be performed at Iranisches Theaterfestival in Heidelberg, Germany, on Saturday, January 30 2016.
